Veterinary Nurse Supervisor – Small Animal Emergency & ICU, Michigan State University – Veterinary Medical Center: We are seeking experienced and motivated Veterinary Nurse Supervisors to join our Small Animal Emergency and ICU team. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting our teaching mission, and contributing to hospital operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care (approximately 75% of the time), performing duties expected of Veterinary Nurse I and II roles, Coordinate daily operations of the Emergency and ICU departments, Supervise, hire, and train assigned staff, Create and manage staff schedules; review and approve time-off requests, Ensure staffing levels meet patient care needs, Facilitate effective communication regarding patient and client care, Address and resolve performance, workflow, and operational concerns, Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations. Work Schedule: Due to a restructure, we seek applicants for all shifts. Please specify in your cover letter shift preference(s), Flexibility required to cover weekends or night shifts as needed.
