About the Role
MVMA is seeking a highly organized Administrative Assistant to support our staff team and volunteer leaders. This role involves coordinating meetings, managing data in our association management system, and providing essential support to volunteer committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and answer phones
- Schedule and organize meetings for multiple staff members
- Work in association management database to update member data, run reports, and support membership operations
- Provide administrative support to volunteer committees, including communication, document prep, and tracking action items
- Assist with general office tasks, inquiries, and special projects
- Support member communications as needed
- Support event and program logistics as needed
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with an association database; Novi AMS a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work professionally with staff, members, and volunteers
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive
Additional information
This is a hybrid role, with three days in our Okemos office and two days working remote. Some travel within the state of Michigan as well as some evenings and weekends will be required.
