Sarah Kathleen Abood

Dr. Sarah Abood is the Section Chief of the Clinical Nutrition Service in the Ontario Veterinary College's Health Science Centre hospital. She teaches in all 4 years of the veterinary curriculum - both nutrition and communication skill training are two areas she is most passionate about. Since 2009, Sarah has had her own consulting company called Sit, Stay, Speak Nutrition; and in 2017 she helped launch Pet Recipe Designers in order to balance formulas for small pet food start-ups. Between 2000 and 2016, Dr. Abood served as Assistant Dean of Student Programs at Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Before that, she worked for 5 years in Research & Development at Ralston Purina. She completed 2 degrees at Michigan State University, her internship at the University of Minnesota, and her nutrition residency and PhD at The Ohio State University.
