Event Details

Creating an employee handbook is great way to communicate expectations to your staff, but it goes far beyond that. A well-written handbook can be a lifesaver when it comes to managing difficult situations such as suspected substance abuse in the workplace, harassment claims, requests for accommodations or leaves of absence, basic confidentiality, and social media do’s and don’ts. However, due to the time involved in creating and/or updating a handbook, many well-intentioned practice owners and office managers go without. Until now . . .

This Make-and-Take HR Handbook Workshop will guide you through what should and should not be included in your employee manual, and then will provide the necessary time for you to create/update your own handbook in the same day, so you leave with a finished product in your hand! This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with others in the group and benefit from input from HRM’s team of trusted HR professionals. Due to the nature of the workshop, space is limited — so register today!

You must be able to bring your own laptop. Access to and instructions for the MVMA handbook template will be pro­vided to each participant in advance of the course.
