Lynne Seibert, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVB (Behavior)

Dr. Seibert received her Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in biochemistry from Indiana University, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) from the University of Tennessee. She practiced general medicine and surgery and emergency medicine, before returning to graduate school and a residency program. 

Dr. Seibert completed Master’s (MS) and Doctoral (PhD) degrees in psychology, with a focus on neuroscience and animal behavior at the University of Georgia. 

She also completed a 3-year clinical residency in behavior medicine at the University of Georgia, leading to board-certification with the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists  in 2001. There are less than 100 ACVB-certified Diplomates in the world. 

​She is a part-time instructor at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and has taught veterinary behavior at 8 veterinary colleges and provided over 2,800 hours of behavior education in 45 states and 4 countries. 

Dr. Seibert is a past-president of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, and served two terms as secretary-treasurer on the ACVB Board of Regents.

She is a member of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists, the American Veterinary Medical Association, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key National Honor Society, Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, and Who's Who in America.
