Today, we sent a letter to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer asking that she allow veterinarians and their staff to perform both essential and non-essential services. We firmly believe veterinarians are equipped and prepared to operate at full capacity in a safe and responsible manner.
We also included a letter from AVMA as well as recommended guidelines for veterinarians to followfollow if they are allowed to reopen fully.
While we are lobbying the Governor and her staff, we need your help to lobby the Legislature. Please take just a few minutes to contact your local State Representative and State Senator. We need to build momentum for our case so we cannot be ignored. Hearing from constituents can be very powerful, especially from medical professionals and small business owners. Let them know how these restrictions have affected your business, your staff, and your ability to do your job. We encourage you to contact your legislators based on your business locale. You can find their information by clicking the links available below.

Contact your Senator: https://www.senate.michigan.gov/fysbyaddress.html
We will continue to fight for you and won’t stop until you are allowed to perform services and procedures that are in the best interest of animals and the public’s health. Thank you in advance for your efforts to help us safely move this industry forward. Please stay safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
