COVID-19 Updates & Resources

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, the MVMA is taking steps to protect our staff and our members. In response, the MVMA has created this page as a helpful resource center to help navigate any questions or concerns you may have during this time. We will continuously update this page with valuable information as we receive updates from the AVMA, CDC, MDARD, State of Michigan and other reliable sources. You can access these resources by visiting the Resources & Updates section on this page.

The CDC now recommends not attending or hosting any gatherings of 10 or more people. Therefore, out of the interest of public safety and our members, we will be postponing all in-person events from now until at least the end of April. That will include our April 1 Small Animal Series event, as well as our Behavior seminar on April 15. We will provide additional updates on future events as soon as we have them available.

The entire team at the MVMA is here to assist our members during this time. In order to ensure the safety of our staff members, the MVMA has decided to allow employees to work from home. We will still be responding to member calls and emails, just not at our main office line. We will provide an update once operations move back to the main office. You may contact any of our staff by clicking their emails below:

The guidance also allows corporate taxpayers a similar deferment of up to $10 million of federal income tax payments that would be due on April 15, 2020, until July 15, 2020, without penalties or interest.
